Comment: Leprosy too leprosy them infectious diseases. Today – unlike the time of Jesus – leprosy is a treatable disease.
Themžíš says here that he wants to heal him. This means that Jesus wants to heal us. If it’s not happening, it’s a good idea to ask him why and what to do with it.
One of the important factors is that God gave the earth to the people. In Psalm 115:16 it is written: Heaven, it belongs to the Lord, but he gave the earth to the people. Looking around at what we’ve done from our country in some cases – pollution, unhealthy diet, lifestyle, stress, etc., all this often causes a lot of illnesses.
Other reasons why we may be sick:
- Often these are attacks from the devil (then it is good to ask how to fight against him, or to do what we already know, like Jesus in Matthew 4).
- Maybe sometimes we are not (yet) healed to get closer to him or our loved ones and learn to listen to him.
- Sometimes it’s to learn to fight for healing by educating ourselves about our problem and letting the professionals help us.
- Sometimes the disease will help us value health more or learn more about our body, when to rest, etc.
- It can also be to make us realize that we need others and learn to talk about prayer.
- When one of our loved ones is sick, it also helps us look for God for answers and teaches us to take care of them.
- Sometimes, if we were healed quickly, we would not be aware of other psychological things. God has his timing. Sometimes we are not open to what they are trying to tell us and it takes us a while to open up to them and therefore the recovery takes longer.
- Sometimes we must forgive someone or ourselves before we are able to be cured
- Sometimes God has a special reason why we are not healed here on earth, and even in this case we can ask him why. – We will only know some reasons in heaven, but Jesus doesn’t mind if we ask him why. – As we read in Chapter 7 in verse 7 – Just ask, and get, search, and find. Tap and it will be open to you.
Each case has its specifics and we should never judge anyone for lack of faith or for any other reason. Our task is to pray for them and do what God leads us to do for them.
It is very important to realize that God loves us immensely and sometimes, like every loving dad, he will also set a limit for us – for example, he will also allow us some illness, for example to protect us from something worse or to learn something important for our life. Our character is very important to him! In any case, he wants to heal us in the end. Sometimes it is heavenly healing. In the book of Revelation at the end of the Bible, it is written about the sky: ‘This is God’s home with people, God will live there with them and they with him. He will never leave them again and wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, wailing or pain.” (Revelation 21:3 and 4)
Whatever the reason we or our neighbors are, it should always be borne in mind that even if it doesn’t seem like it many times – God loves us and is in that situation with us. As in the ‘tracks in the sand’ story. How many times can we be surprised how people who suffer a lot experience God more and very personally, you may have experienced this yourself! Too Loud
The Roman centurion shows his faith

Commentary: Twice Jesus wondered – once when they had no faith in Nazareth, where he came from and the second time here.
Each Roman centurion commanded the regiment of 100 men. The centurions received up to five times the salary of ordinary soldiers, so each of them was socially significant and rich. This was a loyal Roman officer, but still, instead of the pagan Roman gods, he believed in Jesus!

Jesus heals Peter’s mother-in-law and many others
14 Then Jesus visited Peter and found his mother-in-law with a fever.
15 He touched her hand, the temperature dropped and she was so relieved that she got up and served the guest.
16 in the evening they brought many obsessives to him, he is mereym by the word He relieved the evil and healed all the sick.
17 This fulfilled what the prophet Isaiah had predicted: ‘He took onse weaknesses and carried onsE diseases.‘
Jesus teaches about what it costs to follow Him
18 When Jesus saw a multitude of people gathering around him, he wanted to cross to the other side of the lake on a boat; 19 backlogtel ho insif it issthim one unoitel fromaKona: ‘placere, I want to follow you byt stale with you.‘ 20 Themveneer reply to himhimdhiml: ‘katda ifska ma Your Nora, PTaTo HNieZDO, but Ja noaSsto nemam where spat.‘

Comment: Following Jesus as one of 12 disciples is not for everyone, because for some people it is too much and they are not able or willing to give him so much. Sometimes over time, for example. But the main thing is our effort, to try to love God as best we can in the given moment. He does not expect perfection and accepts us as we are.
Jesus calms the storm
23 then he set sail with his disciples. 24 A violent storm broke out over the lake, so the boat was in danger of sinking in the waves. But Jesus slept peacefully. 25 They woke him up: ‘Sir, Zachrahim naS. it’s about tLife!‘ 26 But he them rEKL: ‘Forno be fearedieTE? Where is the VAse inieRA?‘ stood up, okrikl inietr and waves, and there was peace. 27 whichrevelry it vidhimli, were filledhimNot in astonishment and they thought to themselves: ‘Who is it, that the wind and the sea listen to him?’
Jesus drives demons into the pig herd

They lived in rock graves and were so dangerous that no one dared to walk here. 29 on themveneere fornoAli torandnoET: ‘What do you do to Nawith, bolife Son? Comment: Pigs don’t seem to have a very high position in the Bible. It was considered impure.
Above all, this story proves that Jesus has strength over demons – that he must obey him. Therefore, there is no need for us to be afraid of them either. But we can’t do it ourselves with Jesus, and we are stronger than all demons and the devil himself in his name! That’s why they hate us so much and often attack us in various ways. But Jesus and I will always win over him!
