Obedience to God – not to adjust to this world
Where in the Bible is ever written, that we should adapt to this world and today’s culture? Anywhere! On the contrary, we should stick to the standards of God’s word and what it teaches us. Especially when the world begins to interfere with us so dear to the Biblical world and our beliefs.
Key Bible verses that we have to adapt to this world
Romans 12:2 Stop imitating the customs and manners of the rest of the world and change my entire mindset, to be able to discern what is the will of God, what, then, is the correct, perfect, and He’s nice.

Obedience is better than sacrifice

The old testament can be divided into 3 parts:
1. the ceremonial laws
2. dietary laws
3. moral laws
We learned also, that the ceremonial and dietary laws for us are no longer binding. At the same time it is also clear that the moral laws still exist, and if we want to call christians we must follow them.

Leviticus 18 and 20
Don’t act according to the ways of the land of egypt, where you lived, don’t even according to the methods of kanaánské the country in which you mention; do not follow their practices. LEVITICUS 20 repeats of the same and yet adds a punishment that will come upon those who do this. And he adds: 26 Be holy to me, for I, God, am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be mine.

Sodom and Gomorrah

Jude 7 and 8 Like the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, who went on the path of immorality and sexual perversion, they are still a warning example of the terrible end in eternal fire.
