Emotional Stability – Part 1

Train your mind to be able to be at peace in every situation

Joel Osteen video compilation with short comments

In life, we cannot influence everything that happens to us, but we can control how we react. The difference between those who collapse under pressure and those who can rise above it lies not in the intelligence or talent, but in mental discipline.

Mental discipline is the ability to keep calm when everything around us is chaotic.

Our emotions are like the waves of the ocean, some will be quiet, others will be stormy, but if we train our minds, we will become a deep steady stream below the surface of the storm. We will be steadfast and control our emotions.

One of the greatest abilities we can acquire in life is the ability to keep calm under pressure.

Controlling our own emotions is not something we are born with, it is a skill. And like any other skill, this one requires effort, patience and training.

Many people believe that remaining calm in difficult situations is a personality trait, that some people are simply naturally uncontrollable, while others react violently. But that’s not the case. The ability to remain calm is a learned behavior and the good news is that anyone can master it!

Remember the most successful respected and influential people in the world! What do they all have in common? – does not panic in the face of adversity. They don’t let themselves be taken aback when something happens to them, they don’t allow their emotions to dictate their actions. He can keep calm and a clear mind. They make decisions wisely even in the most stressful situations. And it’s not because they’ve been born that way, but because they’ve trained their minds.

Why a calm mind is our greatest strength

The truth is that emotions are powerful, they can push you forward to greatness and success, but they can also ruin you. How many times has people lost their temper and said something they later regretted? How many relationships ended due to uncontrollable emotions? – Just because someone reacted impulsively instead of thinking things through.

If we cannot control our emotions, our emotions will control us! And when we let our emotions control us, we are weak and easy to manipulate.

Training the mind to be at rest in any situation is like muscle training. It’s difficult at first. You often feel the urge to react immediately,… talk before you think, or let yourself be controlled by frustration, anger or fear. But just like building muscle in the gym, the more you practice controlling emotions, the stronger your mental strength will be. Over time, you will notice that the things that turned you off before have no effect on you. Situations that got on your nerves no longer affect you, and those that used to cause you fear or anxiety are suddenly manageable. Instead of emotional reactions, you will begin to react with wisdom.

One of the first steps to developing emotion control is to be aware of them. – Learn to pay attention to your emotions! Watch how you feel when someone tells you something negative. Notice how your body reacts when you find yourself in a situation where you don’t like something, or in a stressful situation.

The goal is not to suppress your emotions, but to understand them! The moment you realize your feelings, you can Learning to create a space between your emotions and your reaction. – And this space is the place where your strength is hidden!

Most people react right away, but if you can stop for a few seconds and realize what you’re feeling, you’ll give you a chance to react intelligently.

Another effective way to train your mind is To detach from the need to constantly respond. A lot of people feel the need to respond to every insult, every challenge, every situation that arises. But the truth is, not everything requires your reaction. Some things are not worth your attention. When you learn to be selective about what you invest your emotional energy in, you start saving your strength for what is really important. tho You won’t let, so that minor inconveniences spoil your day. You won’t let, so that minor disagreements grow into serious conflicts. Simply you learn Observing and evaluating whether something is worth spending your time at all. And more and more often you will realize that staying calm and not being influenced (sometimes even leaving the argument) is the best reaction.

Another key to managing emotions is To understand that you cannot control everything, but you can always control yourself.

Life is unpredictable, people will try you, circumstances will call you to react negatively, unexpected events will happen, but always You have a choice, how you will react to them.

Many people spend their lives trying to control things they can’t control. They try to influence other people’s actions, stress about things they can’t change, and waste energy worrying about the future.

But those who train their minds to be calm focus only on what they can control themselves. When you take control of your thoughts, your emotions, and how you react to them, you gain control of your life.

You also stop blaming external factors for how you feel. You won’t let other people’s opinions determine your mood. instead of being pushed or pushed by what’s going on around you, You become the one who decides About how you will feel, how you will react and what you will do next.-  That is a real power!

When you learn to develop control over emotions, this process requires patience and consistency. Some days you will succeed and other days you will fall into old habits. However, the key to success is not to give up!

Every time you decide to keep calm, instead of reacting immediately, you strengthen your mental discipline. Every time you take a deep breath and stop before you say something, you strengthen your emotional intelligence. Every time you decide not to spend energy on something that is not worth your peace, you regain your power.

It should also be noted that training to keep a calm mind does not mean that you suppress your emotions or that you will suddenly be without emotions. It means learning to regulate your emotions to work for you and not against you. Anger, frustration, sadness – these emotions are normal, but they should not control us. A calm mind does not mean an empty mind. It means a mind that is disciplined, focused and able to make decisions on the basis of wisdom, not on the basis of impulses.

Starting today, make a commitment to work on your mind training!

Start slowly. –  The next time you start to feel frustrated, stop (make the space between emotion and reaction)! Next time someone tries to provoke you, take a breath! The next time life throws a strong challenge in your way, before you start responding, take a step back and assess the situation!

Over time, these small practices will become habits and they will formulate your thinking.

‘And not only that: we also brag about suffering, for we know that from suffering grows perseverance, from perseverance, and from the provenance of hope.’ Romans 5:3 and 4

He who controls his emotions has power over his reactions! (And of course we will only give it with God’s help.)

How to control your emotions in difficult times

With God’s help, you have the power to stay calm no matter what situation you are in! You have the opportunity to develop an unshakable inner strength! It starts with the decision that you will train your mind, that you want to take control of your emotions and choose peace instead of chaos.

Once you’ve made up your mind, you’ll see how your life starts to change, because the calmer you are, the stronger you become!

What you focus on is growing! Your mind constantly shapes your reality based on the thoughts you feed it. If you focus on stress, fear and negativity, your mind will intensify and you will constantly feel overwhelmed.

However, if you train your mind to focus on solutions, opportunities and inner peace, you will begin to look at life from a different perspective. The ability to keep calm in every situation begins with what Will you fit into your mind! Your mind is a powerful tool, but like any instrument, it must be controlled. As a wild animal, she must be tamed. Without discipline, she will be wild and react to any situation emotionally, instead of reacting logically.

Most people go through life without realizing how much power they have over their own minds. They constantly allow external circumstances to dictate their mood, actions and reactions.

When something bad happens to them, they immediately panic. When someone tells them something negative, they take it personally. When an obstacle appears in their life, they expect the worst. They live in a state of constant reaction instead of control!

But the truth remains that your emotions are the result of your thoughts and your thoughts are the result of what your mind is focused on! As you train your mind to focus on what really matters, you gain the ability to stay calm, no matter what happens around you.

Let us not take our eyes off Jesus, the originator and completer of our faith. –Jews 12:2

What blocks people most from gaining control over their emotions is that they allow their minds to focus on problems instead of solutions. They deal with what’s wrong, instead of thinking about how to fix it.

They play negative events over and over in their heads and feel worse with each repetition. However, worrying never solved a single problem! – It’s the same as if you wanted to move forward by swinging in a rocking chair! You will never change anything by stressing yourself in a situation! The only thing that creates change is action. And you need a clear mind at the event. You cannot think clearly when your mind is overwhelmed by fear and negativity. When you focus on the problem, you give it more power! However, when you focus on the solution, you get your control back.

Training the mind to focus on the solution requires practice. The next time you face a difficult situation, ask yourself – what can I do about it? What can I influence? How to achieve the best solution to this situation? These questions will shift your concentration from fear to strategy. From panic to action! Instead of letting your emotions control you, you start to react on purpose. You will begin to perceive challenges as opportunities for growth, not as obstacles aimed at breaking you.

As mentioned above – not everything deserves your attention! A lot of people waste precious energy when they respond to things that don’t matter in the long run. They are offended by small remarks, they deal with things they cannot change. They allow their minor inconveniences to spoil the whole day. However, a trained mind can filter out noise. He understands that Peace is more valuable than being right, In this context!

Comment: We already know that a relationship is more important than being right. This is another thing that is more important to us personally – our personal peace.

A trained mind understands that withdrawing is wiser than proving its opinion, and that not every battle is worth fighting.

When you learn to control what you focus on, you will naturally become a calmer and stronger person. There will always be situations in life that will try you, but your ability to stay calm in these moments depends only on you!

If you believe that every problem is a crisis, you will feel overwhelmed! However, if you remind yourself that you have overcome great challenges before with God’s help and that you can overcome others, you will handle every situation in God’s strength and trust.

Developing this thinking requires daily practice. The thoughts you think today affect how you will respond tomorrow. If you spend your days consuming negativity, gossip and fear-based information, your mind will tend to be anxious and stressed. However, if you fill your mind with God’s knowledge, wisdom and positivity, calm and clarity will be your initial reaction!

you gotta purposefully pick, What do you let into your mental space? Read books that expand your spiritual horizon, listen to things that reinforce your positive thinking! Surround yourself with people who uplift you instead of sucking you! Your mind always reflects what you feed it. Meditation on God’s truths, learning verses by heart, praising God and, above all, the study of God’s Word are powerful tools for training thoughts. Even if it were only a few minutes a day, you will calm your mind, and if you also focus on your breathing, it will help you develop the habit of living in the present. When you learn to control your thoughts in moments of calm, you will be able to control them even in moments of chaos.

Another effective method is writing a diary. – Writing down your thoughts helps to process emotions and gain clarity about what really matters, instead of submitting to your natural reaction to act impulsively. This will teach you to train your attention, think and react with wisdom.

The power of faith in difficult situations

Let it float! (Letting Go) – not trying to control, but rather let go of what you can’t anyway to influence is another necessary part of maintaining mental balance and calmness.

A lot of people waste time worrying about things they can’t control. – They are stressed by the past. They are afraid of the future and are obsessed with other people’s opinions. But the reality is that you can’t control everything, you can’t change what has already happened, you can’t force someone to behave the way you want, you can’t predict what will happen.

What you can influence is your attitude, your thinking and your reaction to every situation. When you learn to focus on what you can change and let go of what you can’t change, you get rid of unnecessary stress.

Alcoholics Anonymous – Prayer – ‘God, give me peace to accept what I can’t change, the courage to change what I can, and wisdom to know the difference.’ (The quote is attributed to many personalities, including the American writer Artur Miler, the Greek philosopher Aeschylus and St. Francis of Assisi

The calmest people in the world are not those who live the perfect life, but those who have mastered the art of perspective.

They understand that the challenges are temporary.

They know that failures are just a preparation for success.

They refuse to let emotions dictate their actions because they know that a clear mind makes the best decisions.

This is a level of self-control that you can also achieve. When your mind is trained to stay calm, you gain control over your life. You stop reacting and start thinking, inventing a strategy and moving forward with the balance and awareness of God.

It doesn’t mean you’ll never feel emotion or frustration, disappointment, and sometimes anger. The difference is that you won’t let them control you! You will no longer act impulsively, you will not let temporary feelings dictate permanent decisions. Instead, you become aware of your emotions, process them, and then choose the most effective reaction. This is what separates those who succeed from those who are in constant struggle. Those who fight let their emotions guide them. Those who succeed train their minds to remain calm, no matter what.

So, from now on, decide to train your mind, what it will focus on, you will look for a solution instead of staring at the problem! Refuse to let small situations steal your peace! Let go of what you can’t control! Build a mind that will remain stable even in the face of adversity. Because whoever can control his mind can control his destiny!
