The need for healing – small or large, at any time – is simply a part of life. It will probably also be the reason why Jesus spent so much time on earth during his life on earth. All four gospels are full of records of the miraculous healings that Jesus caused – the lepers were cleansed, the blind’s sight returned, the lames were healed, and the dead were resurrected. In the Bible we can read about how ‘Great crowds of people followed him and he healed them all’ (Matthew 12:15).
No one can read these stories about miraculous healings without knowingly or unconsciously joining one of the three groups: those who do not believe that miracles really happened, those who believe that they have happened, but today they no longer happen, and finally those who They understand and accept the wonderful truth that Jesus is ready, willing and able to heal us today as well as the other day. ‘Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever’ (Hebrews 13:8).
Learn to use God’s promise of healing for yourself and others who need your help and prayer. No disease or circumstance is beyond the reach of his healing power, just as no disease is very insignificant for his attention. He loves you and can turn your every misery into your good. Teach your faith to act!
Faith – Ownership Agreement
In Hebrews 11:1 it is written: ‘Faith is the essence of things we hope in, proof of facts that we (yet) don’t see.’ The word translated as ‘essential’ is originally the Greek word ‘hupostasis’. When the New Testament was translated from the Greek four hundred years ago, the translators were confused by the word hupostasis. It seemed as if it belonged more to a business language that did not appear in classical Greek. All they could determine was that it meant something very important. So they translated it as ‘essence’.
A few centuries later, archaeologists in northern Israel uncovered the charred rubble of an old inn. In them they found a small iron chest, which apparently contained the securities of some Roman noblewoman who owned a few properties in Israel. Most of the papers from the chest were written in large Greek letters in the header: Hupostasis. These were all documents of ownership of her property! The Roman woman probably had never seen her property before her visit to Israel, but she knew it belonged to her, and she could prove her possessions because she had evidence of ownership.
So what is Faith? it is proof of ownership! If the translators of that time knew what we today, the verse might have read: ‘Faith is proof of the ownership of things we hope for.’
If you asked God for something, but you haven’t seen the answer yet, don’t worry. If you have real faith, then you have a document in your hands and your name is written on it. It belongs to you and you will eventually see it!
How Can I Get Faith
needed to heal?
We will gain faith in healing in exactly the same way as faith in anything else: through reading and absorbing God’s word. ‘So faith is from hearing and hearing through the word of God’ (Romans 10:17). If you read the word with an open and perceptive heart – when you do, as Jesus said: ‘Hear and remember these words well’ (Luke 9:44) – your faith will grow by itself. It is God’s law, certain as the law of earth’s attraction.
If you feel you don’t have enough faith to heal, you probably don’t know God’s word too well. If you are weak in faith, it is because you are weak in the word.
In his Word, God gave us great and precious promises (2 Peter 1:4) and some of them relate precisely to healing. Read, study, remember and absorb them to the core; Then remind God when you pray for your healing or for other people. He can heal you, but you have to do your part: You have to take his word for it. Trust his promises, stick to them and expect them to fulfill them!
The faith you need for the miracle of healing, as well as for the answer to each prayer, comes from the word. Read it with prayer and ask God to strengthen your faith. He will do it!
