Jesus tells the parable of the ten bridesmaids
‘My second coming will be in some sense resemble a wedding,. You who I will expect, there are like ten bridesmaids who vyhlížely groom, make him welcome the light of their lamps. Only five of them were far-sighted and took with him a vessel with oil to replenish the lamps. The other girls on it carelessly forgot. The groom did not go long, and so all the bridesmaids get tired and fall asleep. Midnight is wrenched from sleep screaming: ‘the Bridegroom is coming! Come welcome him!‘ The girls jumped out and quickly adjust the lamp. You reckless, that you didn’t take enough oil to beg on the other: ‘Give us some of your oil, light us off!’ But the wise ones, they replied: ‘If we split up, not enough oil to us or to you. Try this better for buyers!‘ Hardly, however, had wandered for the oil, the bridegroom came, and those girls that were ready, went in with him to the wedding feast. The other five bridesmaids came to the closed door. Calling out: ‘Lord, open to us!’ But he replied: ‘it Is too late, you can’t accept.’ And so be always ready, because you don’t know, in that moment, I’ll come.
COMMENT: WHEN WE READ IN THE BIBLE IT IS IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS BALANCE WITH WHAT IS IN OTHER PARTS OF THE BIBLE CLEARLY STATED. WHAT WE ALREADY KNOW FROM OTHER PARTS AND THE MANY VERSES ABOUT IT, WHO GETS TO HEAVEN? – THE ONE WHO IS SAVED INTO THE SKY AND THE WEDDING OF THE LAMB GETS. WHAT IT FOLLOWS, THEREFORE, WHO ARE IN THIS CASE, YOU FOOLISH GIRL IN THIS PARABLE? – YES, YOU, WHO ARE SAVED ARE NOT. THOSE WHO HAVE NOT ACCEPTED JESUS INTO YOUR HEART! OF THE OTHER PROPHECIES IN THE BIBLE AND FROM THE PREVIOUS CHAPTER – MATTHEW 24 – WE KNOW THAT JESUS WILL COME AFTER 7 YEARS OF THE REIGN OF THE ANTICHRIST. BECAUSE FOR US, WHO THE BIBLE WE KNOW IT WON’T BE A SURPRISE. OF COURSE, IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE ENOUGH OIL – GOD’S WORD IN OUR HEARTS – A DAY TO SPEND TIME WITH JESUS. IT HELPS ALL OF US RIGHT NOW. WHEN OUR LIFE BECOMES SOMETHING HEAVY, IT IS THEN MUCH EASIER TO RESPOND TO THAT, BECAUSE WE HAVE SO MUCH MORE OF GOD’S POWER. AT THE SAME TIME TIME WITH GOD IS PREPARING FOR ITS ARRIVAL AND GIVES US THE STRENGTH TO DO WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN BEFORE.
Jesus tells the parable of the entrusted money
I’ll give you another example. One man before leaving on a long trip, he called his staff and entrusted to them his property. To each according to his ability: to one of five thousand, to another two, and to another one. Then he traveled.
COMMENT: IN ENGLISH IN THE KING JAMES TRANSLATION SAYS, HE GAVE THEM TALENTS – WHICH WAS AT THAT TIME THE CURRENCY, BUT IT CAN BE VERY WELL APPLIED TO THE TALENTS/GIFTS THAT GOD HAS GIVEN US AND IS ALSO THIS PARABLE. SO, EACH OF THEM PUT A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TALENT.
The employee, who got the five thousand, he started a business and earned another five thousand. The one who received two thousand, also the sum doubled. But the one who has been entrusted with the single thousand dug in the ground pit and the money he hid. After some time, the employer came back and wanted to give him the subordination of the submitted accounts. The first brought the money and said: ‘Sir, you entrusted to me five thousand and here you have the gain of the other five thousand.’ The master praised him for good work and he said to him: ‘Witnessing you in small task, which is why I can talk so much more. And now I am inviting you to celebrate his return.‘ Came a second and said: ‘Sir, you entrusted me with two thousand and I give you four.’ – ‘Very well!’ said the gentleman, ‘you’re diligent and reliable. You’ve done a little homework, I’ll give you more. You’re invited to the feast.‘ Then accountable to the last one: ‘Lord, I know you’re strict and you care about the profit, but I was scared, I didn’t, and that’s why I prefer to keep the money buried, and here you are in the right back.’ – The gentleman cried: ‘You lazy bastard! You scoundrel! Did you know what I’m doing. You had entrusted the money saved and earned me at least interest! Take from him the money and give it to the first. Because who uses what he was given, will still be added. Who is even a little trying, he loses everything. The sluggard get out into the darkness. Left him weeping and the late regret.‘
COMMENT: THIS PARABLE – UNLIKE THE PREVIOUS ONES TALKING ABOUT THE REWARDS, NOT SALVATION, THEREFORE, APPLIES TO THOSE WHO NO LONGER SALVATION ARE. TO GET INTO HEAVEN IS A GIFT FROM GOD, BUT THE REWARD WE’LL BE HERE ON EARTH AND THEN IN HEAVEN ACCORDING TO WHAT THEIR GIFTS TO DO. AS EACH OF US GOT DIFFERENT AMOUNTS AND DIFFERENT GIFTS WE SHOULDN’T COMPARE! HOWEVER, WE SHOULD DO WHAT WE CAN WITH THE GIFTS THAT WE HAVE. SOME OF US HAVE THE GREAT PRIVILEGE TO KNOW THE BIBLE AND JESUS PERSONALLY, AND WE KNOW WHAT HE WANTS US TO. AND EVEN IF ONLY A DAY THEY WERE DOING WHAT HE TOLD US IN MATTHEW 22 – TO LOVE GOD AND OTHERS – HAVE THAT WE FILL OUR MESSAGE TO THE COUNTRY. PRACTICALLY, THIS CAN MEAN FOR EACH OF US SOMETHING DIFFERENT. THE KEY IS TO JESUS TO ASK YOU AND LET HIM LEAD EVERY DAY.
Jesus speaks about the final court
When I shall come in the king’s majesty, accompanied by all the angels, I sit down to court, where they arrive all the people. It will be the moment of the final division of the humanity. As a shepherd picks from the herd which ones to keep and which to discard, so even I say with my trusty right hand: ‘Come, my Father invites you into the kingdom which is prepared for you from the beginning of the world. I was hungry, and you gave me food, I was thirsty, and you gave me drink, I didn’t have a roof over your head, and you have received me, I didn’t have anything to wear, and you have me dress in sickness you looked after me, and when I was in prison, you came to me.‘ Faithful to say: ‘we don’t remember that we ever had an opportunity like this to take care of you.’ Then tell them: ‘What good have you done for one of my tiny brothers, you did for me.’ Those assembled on the left say: ‘Away from me, falling you’re the fire damnation, which is prepared for satan and his helpers! I mean, when I was hungry, you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink, I didn’t have a roof over your head, and you put in front of me, I shouldn’t have – what to wear, and neoblékli me, in sickness you about me not taking care, and when I was in prison, you didn’t come for me.‘ They will defend you: ‘Sir, how we can help you, when have we never seen you?’ Tell them: ‘Truly, I say to you, whatever you did not do for the least of them, that you did not do for me.’ Such, therefore, they will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.“
COMMENT: the KEY TO UNDERSTANDING THIS PARABLE IS in the LAST VERSE – ‘the righteous will go into eternal life.’ WE CAN BE FAIR – PERFECT – WITHOUT JESUS? NO! THIS IS AGAIN ONE OF THE EXAMPLES, WHEN DO YOURSELF – YOUR OWN JUSTICE – TO HEAVEN WE CAN GET. OF COURSE IT’S FUN WHEN WE DO ALL THOSE GOOD THINGS THAT ARE MENTIONED HERE AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL, THAT IS ACTUALLY, WE DO FOR JESUS. FOR SURE WE WILL BE REWARDED! BUT BECAUSE WE GET TO HEAVEN OUR JUSTICE IS NOT ENOUGH, JESUS ‘ HOWEVER, YES, THANK GOD FOR THAT AND FOR HIS JUSTICE WE CAN SIMPLY ACCEPT THE FACT THAT WE ASK HIM TO COME INTO OUR LIVES AND ANYONE CAN DO THAT.
