Jesus tells parables about workers with the same wage
When God gives a share in eternal life, acts as a winemaker who early He hired workers to work in his vineyard and agreed with them on the daily wage of one silver coin. He said to them: ‘Go to my vineyard too and you will receive a fair wage.’
In the evening, the winemaker then ordered his administrator: ‘Call the workers and pay them for the work. Start with those who came last.’ Those who started work only in the evening got a silver medal. Workers who had been working since morning thought they would get more. However, they received the same salary. They took her but protested:
‘Those who came last only worked for an hour and received just like us, who toiled all day in the sun’s heat!’ The owner of the vineyard turned to one of them and said, ‘Friend, I am not wronging you! Did we not agree on the daily wage in advance? You got yours, so be happy. If I want to pay everyone the same, it’s my business. Or do you want to be envious that I’m generous?’ And so the last ones will be the first and the last to be the last.”
Comment: At first glance, this sounds completely unfair, but the key is the first verse. What is it written there? When God gives a share in eternal life, He acts like a winemaker. The whole story tells about the afterlife. The fact that the workers came at different hours is a comparison to us. – Each of us received Jesus into our hearts at different times of our lives. – Some as a child, some in their youth, some in old age, and some only on the deathbed.
the meaning of that parable is that It does not matter when we accept Jesus into our life and his gift of eternal life. When we accept him so we have eternal life. period. Either as a child or as a thief on the cross that hung next to Jesus. What did Jesus say to him? ‘I promise you, today you will be with me in the Paradise.’ Luke 23:43
Even so, it may seem unfair to us when we have been cultivating a relationship with God for years compared to someone who does what he wants all his life and believes just before death. But instead we should be grateful because we experience God and have had his blessing for so many years! Rather, it should motivate us to share this joy of ours with others so that they too can live such wonderful lives already here on earth!
That’s God’s love! It seems unfair to those workers who worked right from the start, but what if you were the one who didn’t start working until the evening and got the same amount of money! – You wouldn’t complain, would you?

However, it must be different between you. Whoever wants to be great, let him be your servant, and whoever wants to be the first among you, let him serve without a claim to all. I didn’t come either to have me serve, but to serve and sacrifice my life as a ransom for many.’
Comment: This is an example for all of us, that’s what it’s about! We will be much happier if we put God and others in front of us than if we try to be selfishly happy. Because this is the only way we will experience a real deep, long-lasting, joy! You’ve always experienced it yourself – you’ve done something kind for someone and you might have been happier than that person!
Jesus heals a blind beggar
When they passed through Jericho, a great crowd followed Jesus. There were two blind men sitting by the road. When they heard who was passing by, they began to shout: ‘Lord, King of Israel, have mercy on us!’ People in the crowd shouted at them. But they called out all the more: ‘Lord, King of Israel, have mercy on us!’ Jesus stopped and called them to himself and asked them: ‘What do you want me to do for you?’ They replied, ‘Sir, we want to see!’ Jesus felt sorry for them. He touched their eyes and they examined at that moment. Then they followed Jesus.
Commentary: Jesus asked the blind people: ‘What do you want me to do for you?’ Jesus wants us to tell him what we want. The more specific we are, the better. How many times do we get exactly what we ask for. – Do you want any car or car in good condition that has certain specifics? Say for it!
He felt sorry for them again. Jesus has great compassion for us. Compassionate empathetic Jesus!
